Fan Girl Fun: Middle Earth Recipes and More

Hello all you fangirls, happy Friday! For this installment of 'Fan Girl Fun' I'm going to be sharing some more Lord of the Rings inspired recipes that you can cook up for your next feast, or whenever you get the muchies!
Drinks - Merry's Mulled Cider: This drink sounds really good on a cold day, I also love the recipe for Merry's Spiced Chai, also from lotrscrapbook.net. To make the Chai you will need:
5 Cups of boiling water
1 Teaspoon of ground ginger
2 Pinches of allspice
3/4 Teaspoon of peppercorns, (or a little less if you want to make it more mild).
10 Whole cloves
1 1/2 Cinnamon sticks
1/8 Cardamom seeds
2 Black tea bags, (Early grey tea, or english breakfast tea works too). Mix all ingredients together, then simmer and let brew/steep for at least 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags and brew/steep for another 10-20 minutes. Add milk and sugar if desired.
Merry's Mulled Cider: Mix together two quarts of apple cider, 20 whole cloves, 1/2 cup sugar, 12 cinnamon sticks, 14 whole allspice, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 15 minutes. Strain, and serve with a slice of lemon.
Nibbles - Rivendell Black Bottomed Cheescake Muffins: These just sound decadent! Serve them next time you have a Lord of the Rings Marathon party to sustain your fellow fans.
Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine the following 6 ingredients into a large bowl: 1 1/2 cup of flour, 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 cup sugar. Combine the next ingredients in a smaller separate bowl: 1 egg, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon vinegar, 2 teaspoon vanilla. Then add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and distribute into greased muffin tins. Combine the following ingredients, and beat until they're a bit lumpy and spoon on the center of the chocolate batter. 1 8oz of pack of cream cheese, 1 egg, 1/3 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1/3 cup diced almonds. Back for 20-25 minutes until the cream cheese mixture starts to brown. Let cool for 2 minutes and enjoy!
The last recipe idea is Orlando's favorite breakfast: Toast, with peanut butter, (or almond butter) and bananas: 1 piece of wheat toast, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, half of sliced banana. After bread is toasted, spread the desired amount of peanut butter on toast, then add the bananas. This is a good, healthy and filling breakfast or snack, so yummy!
